NT Rugby's night of nights was capped with a Rabbitoh and a Dragon recognised as their state's best ahead of Saturday's Grand Final series.
South Darwin halfback Vincent Mehn and Darwin Dragons superstar Ayesha Kay were awarded NT Rugby's best and fairest at last week's annual Eric Johnstone Awards.
The seasoned Mehn was again a standout in the powerful Souths backline and played a critical role leading the Rabbitohs to a qualifying final berth while Kay topped the women's competition for tries scored (13) and points scored (129).
Katherine skipper Anthony Busch was named B-Grade's best & fairest ahead of the Roos' maiden grand final appearance with Palmerston's Hayden Schatz & Casuarina's Madelene Barnsley also named the Territory's best emerging talents.
On the coaching front, Casuarina's Luigi Andreoli was named senior coach of the year as Sione Tau (Darwin Dragons) took out the junior coaching award.
In the referees, Julius Appo was named Referee of the Year with Zoe Grotaers (Most Improved) & Angus Cram (Junior Referee of the Year) also honoured.
Joanne Cram was named NT Rugby volunteer of the year.
