Darwin Club Rugby Round 9 Update - Vaccine Pass and Masks

Fri, Jan 14, 2022, 12:40 AM
Round 9 of the Darwin Club Rugby season will kick-off at Rugby Park on Saturday 15th January after the Christmas break.

All Darwin Rugby Clubs and venues will continue the season under the current Northern Territory Government's vaccine pass and mandatory mask use directives. This includes Rugby Park at Marrara. It is a requirement for all attendees 16 years and over to comply with the vaccine pass requirements and wear a mask while inside any buildings including changerooms and toilets.

The health and safety of the rugby community is paramount and NT Rugby expects all attendees to be vigilant to minimise the spread of COVID-19.

Only double vaccinated persons aged 16 years and above can attend Rugby Park or their Rugby Club venue for any rugby (training, playing, meetings, etc) or non-rugby related activity.

All persons must check-in via the Territory app and show proof of vaccination whenever they attend their Club venue/fields or Rugby Park/TRL Stadium.

If aged 15 years or younger, the Vaccine Pass does not apply at this stage and you can attend all venues as per normal.

To better facilitate the entry process at Rugby Park, NT Rugby have made changes to the entry and exit points to the venue.

Vehicle access will be via the Back Gate on Abala Road, nearest to the corner of Marrara Drive. There will be no exit from this gate until after 9:00pm each evening.

Passenger drop-off and pedestrian access will be at the usual Main Gate with the smaller pedestrian gate used for access. The Main Gate will remain closed and will only be used to exit vehicles from the venue.

NT Rugby will have staff and security at all gates to help assist with the smooth entry of all persons attending Round 9.
